October 23, 2014
Smart Buildings Center, Impact HUB Seattle, Seattle, WA

Our popular power hour networking event will feature, Ainsley Close, Senior Sustainable Energy Lead at the Washington State Housing Financing Commission. In her role she is able to offer several ways to affordably develop energy-efficient buildings, upgrade existing buildings, and create or conserve energy. The commission’s financing programs can help reduce interest rates and provide access to capital for new green construction, improving the performance of existing buildings and renewable energy projects. For energy projects up to $1 million, the Commission’s Sustainable Energy Trust can finance projects at favorable interest rates. For projects over $1 million a tax credit or tax exempt bond may be an excellent financing tool and the commission can provide technical assistance to help throughout this process.
